Jennifer Jung, MHC, JD is a mental health counseling pre-licensed professional. In May of 2023 she received her Master’s of Social Work from the UH Mānoa Thompson School of Social Work & Public Health with a concentration in Behavioral Mental Health. In 2010 she graduated from the William S. Richardson School of Law with her JD and is currently a licensed attorney in Hawaii.

Jennifer believes every person is worthy of belonging and connection. Relationships play a crucial role in helping us connect to a deeper understanding of self and others. Sometimes these relationships are a source of pain, stress, and heartache. Interpersonal relating in a therapeutic environment encourages healing and growth. Jennifer valuesn interpersonal neurobiology lens to help therapy clients feel safe, seen, soothed, and secure as they work through challenging transitions and life stressors. Additionally she is pursuing trauma-informed modalities including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Internal Family Systems (IFS) to assist clients in pursuing their therapeutic goals.

Jennifer continues her work as an attorney at a local nonprofit focusing on immigration law specifically as it impacts survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, and human trafficking. She is passionate about integrating trauma informed lawyering in her legal practice. After 13+ years of experience and training in the legal field she honors and holds space for the stress so often accompanying difficult interactions with our legal systems. Her legal work with clients from around the world helps her deeply appreciate individual and collective differences as well as the importance of uplifting family roots and culture in navigating therapy. While she cannot be both a therapist and attorney for the same client, she uses her legal expertise to help inform her therapy practice and vice versa.

Jennifer is unable to work with insurance at this time, and has an out of pocket fee of $50/session.  To schedule an appointment, please call our office at 808-387-4355 or email paradigmhawaii@gmail.com   Mahalo!

Please note: legal advice is the application of legal information to client specific facts and is not permitted in her therapy appointments due to the ethics rules governing attorneys.
