MEET LINDSAY
Lindsay is originally from Oklahoma, but has lived all over the world since marrying into the Army. She graduated from Oklahoma State University with a BS in Biology, and received her MA in Marriage and Family Therapy from Liberty University in 2018. Lindsay loves working with couples and individuals using Emotionally Focused Therapy. She has worked in international settings, with foreign nationals, expats, and missionaries, as well as locally at a church in Kailua.
Lindsay is trained in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) and has used this theory to help couples and individuals identify the patterns they engage in that perpetuates the distressing conflicts that cause so much pain.
EFT is a highly successful and empirically tested theory of attachment and bonding that was developed by Dr. Sue Johnson. EFT will help you understand the emotional patterns of relating that keep couples and individuals “stuck” in relationship dramas and conflicts. Lindsay has used EFT with hurting couples, and with individuals suffering from anxiety, depression, emotional outbursts, stress, and especially trauma. Lindsay will help you access the deeper longings and needs that are perfectly understandable, and if left unmet, cause significant loneliness and distress. At the heart of EFT is the therapeutic relationship; it’s important to Lindsay to work at developing a safe, secure space for you to work together through what is troubling you.
Lindsay and her husband, Greg, live overseas with the military. They have 5 children and have been married for 20 and a half years.
Lindsay accepts HMSA, HMAA and UHA. To make an appointment , please call the office at 808-387-4355 or email paradigmhawaii@gmail.com.
